Today, completely unthinkable, not only because of the high time consumption and the danger of error sources. At Rüdinger freight forwarders today, the data is recorded with the highest precision by the "APACHE". Because when it comes down to the last millimeter and every gram, the laser-sharp eyes of the "APACHE" freight volume measuring device can be absolutely relied upon. Weighing, measuring, photographing and simultaneously integrating data – the result is measurable quality.
The freight, which can be up to 5 meters long, up to 2.5 meters wide and up to 5 meters high, is placed on the weighing plate and then measured three-dimensionally using a laser scanner. A photo of the package is automatically created and inserted into the shipment order. After a few seconds, the process is completed and the measurement result is printed on the barcode label, together with the addresses and the current routing. This provides the warehouse staff with precise information about dimensions and the further transport route. If the measurement results show differences to the registration, it is recorded in the data record and the sender receives the discrepancy info by e-mail.
In the meantime, this system has been firmly integrated at Rüdinger as an indispensable part of the high-quality production of modern logistics.
For the freight forwarding company, "measurable precision" is a clear customer benefit, as Roland Rüdinger explains "... because that's what counts above all for our customers, who come from industry. And that's exactly what you get from us."
